Need trailer roller help?

mnhunter2

Question

Got a mid 70's sparton trailer that has bunks on the sides center rollers and a pair of rollers towards the front of boat one on each side, will be putting a 16' lund deep fisherman with a 25 hp motor and I want to add more rollers so the boat will slide off/on very easy, anyone got any ideas?

That is a standard bunk trailer, check places like Cabelas or Gander mountain, they have roller replacements for bunks, or add on to help boat slide on trailer.

I have the exact same trailer.. very good trailer .. even tilts.

I put roller bunks on mine and the boat will roll off at any incline with ease. The V type rollers wont work.. your boat would be 5' in the air after all the hardware.

The bunks I put on are either 4' or 5' .. think they are 4'... dont disconnect the winch until you are over water after... you will launch the boat on the pavement otherwise... It happened to me in my driveway years ago. I was replacing the winch strap and the stern strap.. wasnt thinking and pulled the stern strap off, disconnected the front hook... started to pull the strap off the winch and there the boat went... right on the driveway(very slight incline). No damage was done except for a few scratches.
