Grassy Narrows

Anyone fishing the English River out of Grassy Narrows? I am thinking of maybe making an over night trip up there. What is the water level up there this year?

Rodney said the water was up to his deck, but had went down about two feet. I am heading up on the tenth of June.

I have been up there in June a few years when the water was that high. What an awesome time to get back in the beaver ponds and play with the pike!! There are several smaller feeder creeks that you can just barely get your boat through to get back into them but if you can it is a blast when you need a break from catching eyes.

Another great place is in that shoot before Indian. There is a shallow bay on the west side that is normally choked with weeds unless the water is high. That place is normally just loaded with big pike. They are always real spooky back there so trolling motor is a must.

That entire river system is just a blast!!!
