Kids and Trout Fishing

While I was at the sportsman show at the covention center my 6year daughter feet got tried so my wife and her sat down by the discover fly fishing seminar room. I can back to meet them and she said, Dad watch me cast a fly rod she was hitting the ring targets 5 out of six trys. The Lady that was helping the kids casts said, she was a natural at casting. We will be taking lessons with her this summer.

i have a similar story. i have twin sisters who are now in high school but when one of them was quite young she was entered by my uncle into a casting contest as the local sportsmans show. Without having ever casted a flyrod before, she won the contest and was hooked. ever since then my parents can't keep a rod out of her hands and whenever i go home to visit all she wants to do is go catch some trout. yet her twin sister won't even consider going with me. it's great to start them young, they'll be hooked for life.
