looking to fish trout in Ottertail co.

Has any one fish the two small lakes for trout by DL in ottertail and how did you do. I do fish bad med. in hubbert co. and do have lots of luck (stock rainbows)

which lakes are you talking about? do you mean Bass Lake in Maplewood SP? there's Meadow Lake, but thaat's in Becker Co., not Otter Tail. I haven't fished either of them yet, but Bass Lake just had a reclamation last fall and a restocking of 'bows.

Have you been to Bad Medicine yet this year, and if so how have you done? I have been up there twice, and caught a few fish, but the weather has been horrible.

I going this weekend to Bad med.I friend of mine has been doing good by the island in about 50ft with power bait (pink) and nailed some trolling jionted Brown trout floating raps. just a fyi a 17 lbs walleye came out 1997

ever nailed a walleye but never fished for them, have you?

We also caught a few off of the island, but was pretty slow and we had a few trolling. i have heard the story of the 17 pounder before, and i still am not sure if it is true or not. I have not specifically targeted walleyes on this lake, but you would think puling around something behind the boat all day you would pick up one just by accident. I haven't caught one yet, but i would like to get some type of pattern down on them for when the trout are slow.
