Fish Head
If you are on the north end, you might try going on the Big Cutfood side of the narrows between Big and Little Cutfoot. 1/8 oz jig and a Shiner. Its a popular spot opening day, so be ready for some company.Good Luck!!
Willy
When I've been to Winni early, we have had our best success up on the north end. Fish the wind, just like any bigger lake. The major points are all usually pretty good. The dugouts, pigeon river, gap, and Highbanks are also all good spots. There are plenty others but that should get you started. Most people jig shiners. Last year we were rigging and were catching more fish than most people around us. Have fun up there. It'll be nuts with people, but Winnie is just a blast.
