Guest
I'm looking to purchase a boat. I was looking at a 2000 Lund Mr. Pike 17ft with a 115 hp motor. They're asking 14k for it. Is it a good deal? Not too familiar with Lunds. Also, what would you recommend? I mainly fish for pikes / muskies
0 Ole #1
It really depends on what you want and what you'll be using it for. I would suggest a boat with a full windshield and a 4 stroke, but that's me. Ole
0 Guest
oh, definitely has to have a 4 stroke engine. I will be using it for mainly fishing the lakes for Pikes / Muskies. Some occasional Bass and WalleyeQuote:It really depends on what you want and what you'll be using it for. I would suggest a boat with a full windshield and a 4 stroke, but that's me. 0 montanagriz
You cannot go wrong with a Lund. In my opinion they are the best you can buy. I just purchased a 18' Lund Explorer this spring and it is amazing. Super smooth, dry ride, handles big water. Besides, they have the best resale of any boat in the state and are built in New York Mills, MN. Make sure to do your homework and research all the different manufacturers. I began doing research on the different models almost a year before making my purchase. Crestliners are very good boats, Alumacrafts are ok, although I'm not impressed with the interiors, I have heard their carpet goes bad pretty quickly. At the end of the day though, I would still pick a Lund over them all.
0 Phred52
For all the same reasons as montanagriz. LUND!!! A buddy backed his into his driveway with the motor down, the skag hit the blacktop and popped the top 5 or 6 rivets out of the transom. He called the ins man and then the Lund factory. 4 days later he took in the damaged boat, and after 2 hrs he was heading home with a new, reinforced and fully warranted transom. They even fed him coffee and donuts while he waited!! I call that CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!BTW, LUND is all I've ever owned.
