Mercury control problem...Need Help!

I have an '01 sportfish w/ 125 merc, the other day I took off the control side panel to feed wires for a new finder, I made sure that the control lines weren't twisted putting back the panel, but it seems that going into reverse is very rough, any suggestions? I'm not very versed on these controls. Thanks in Advance.

You might have to check cables again if twisted or kinked.

They need large angle curves, if they are curved too tight they will bind.

Also if you bend one you can try to straighten it, but most of the times it is ruined, once the inside cable gets a kink you cannot fix it.

I would remove remote again and check the routing.

Another control question...'97 Merc 115, the throttle creeps back when at speed, I assume I need to tighten up an adjustment. I don't see anything on the remote, do I need to take it off, is the adjustment on the back? (inside?)
