transom trolling motor lock?

does any one know of a way to lock a transom trolling motor so it can't or at least makes it more difficult to steal? i read that minn kota makes something but, i am unable to find one.

most of the fishing places sell a bracket for locking on an outboard. It should fit over the thumb bolts on a transom trolling motor too. Basically a C-channel that has a stop on one end and a lock that attaches to the other.

We just run a small chain though the handle holes and then put a padlock on that, well thats what we do for out outboard, the trolling motor comes off everytime, but i would think it would work for that to.

i figured that the outboard motor lock would work but, seems that it would be way too long and raddle when running the big motor. i just thought someone may have seen or used the minn kota brand lock, or know how to find it. thanks for the info i will see what i can come up with

I use a long bolt and a lock-nut. Almost have to saw it off.
