I am planning on coming home in 2006 for an elk hunt. I grew up in the Lakeside Somers area and have some family down in Bozeman. My folks used to run the village Inn restaurant in Lake Side and my dad was on the fire dept.

What I am trying to do is find out if the area still holds elk and chances for drawing for non res. We used to hunt blacktail during the air base days but now it is a ski resort. tried to figure out the GF&P HSOforum but did not make sense.

Our house used to be right across the highway from the restaurant next to the marina and the Shortbranch if they are still there. When i tried to reach folks most have passed away or moved on any help would be appreciated.
