New Oklahoma Record!!!

The 17-pound, 4.64-ounce brown trout Oklahoma angler Jason Archie recently caught on the Mountain Fork River not only surpassed the state's previous record, it nearly doubled it.

The record fish was actually an accident, as Archie was casting a jerkbait for walleyes when the brown hit.

After the fish was officially weighed, Archie released it back into the Mountain Fork River. Oklahoma's previous record brown trout weighed 9 pounds, 12¾ ounces.
