I just picked up one of these locators for $25. I was told it may need a new transducer...do you think it is worth the $50-$65 to buy a new transducer for it? Are these locators any good if the transducer does work?

Cross your fingers and hope the transducer is ok. If not your not out a lot of money. Its an old sounder and really not worth putting any money into.
