so haaad
Anyone have any experience using the Marcum high speed ducer? I'm mainly an ice and fly guy, but ran across a very cheap boat. So I'm thinking of using the LX-1 for summer use. Is this a better cheap option versus buying a graph?
0 Hemlock
I was out on Saturday with my LX3 and ice ducer. I played around with it in the boat, and it was pretty cool to be using it in open water. I would only be using it for holding a boat on a reef, so I would't even need a high speed ducer. My main problem is just the inconvienience of having to pull in the ducer everytime I moved. Other than that, it worked well, even when I went forward/reverse rather quickly, the cord changed angles quite a bit, but looking at the depth reading only changed by about 1 foot.Long answer short, I think it would be worth it to get the high speed ducer for your LX1 and make year round use of that machine.
