Austin
Just got a old trolling motor, can't find if it is a 12 volt or not. Can I run it off the same car battery I run my fish finder off even if it is 12 volt ? thanks
0 CRAPPIEBAIT
Odds are it is a 12v and yes you can run them off your car. However,a deep cycle is a better way to go.Automobile 12v seems to run out alot sooner than the deep cycle (atleast for me)I can leave the landing with my trolling motor and go all day long. With a car battery it'll [PoorWordUsage] out about 3 1/2 hrs into your day.Deep cycle still has juice in it for another day. 0 Slyster
Plus draining and charging cycles kill car batteries. That's why they are called deep cycles.. they can be cycled deeply- Discharged and recharged without damaging the battery.
