Trolling motor for Grumman 14 ft

loebs93

Question

My dad just gave me the green light to start searching for a new trolling motor for our boat. We want a bow mount and were just wondering what pound thrust we need or would like.

I dont know if there is a fact or suggestion sheet put out by MinnKota or if its just a buyer's opinion situation.

Any advice is appreciated.

A 40 pound 48" shaft Auto Pilot would do a pretty good job for you. If you are going to incorporate a graph on the bow, go with a universal sonar. You will need the proper cable to attach your specific graph, purchased as an accessory. This unit has electric steering with a control cable long enough to reach anywhere in your boat. Cable units like the AT have about 6' cable length.
