Lowance GPS map problem

I have a X15mt and I bought the lake master card. I can't seem to get it to work. Does anyone know if I need to install a reader? Also the manual says something about an MMC interface, I don't know if mine has that. Is there a way to find that out also? Thanks, I am anxious to use this darn thing. Kid

Hey Kid, Just put the chip in one of the slots on the MMC card holder on the X-15mt. You need to set the "map type" to Lowrance and make sure you have the latest upgrade from Lowrance (At least ver 3.1 is required, the latest is ver 3.6). Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks Doc. I called Lowrance, they are sending me the card to update to 3.6 version. It's also free, as long as I send the card back with-in 45 days. So now I have to wait another few days. It's killing me to have my new toy and not be able to use it. Thanks for the info Kid

when you get that new card don't forget to tell the unit to "read" that card. I did and I thought there was something wrong with the unit when it was really operator error.
