charging a 12V in parallel system

Question

i'm wondering what's the best way to charge two 12V batteries, hooked up in parallel, with a regular battery charger. is it better to have two chargers hooked to them both seperately?? if yes, do i need to disconnect the "jumpers" between the batteries if using two chargers?? or can i just put one charger on one of the batteries and both will get charged?? thanks in advance.

I use one charger and put one clamp on each battery and leave the jumpers connected. The charger I use will display "error" if it is hooked up wrong and when I do it this way it does not say "error" and works fine.
