Anyone tried out the Lowrance M68C S/Map IceMachine?

Wondering if anyone has field tested this machine? Can you use it on open water? Can you upload reelbottom software to it? Thanks

Early.user.reports.are.encouraging.

Like.any.electronics.used.on.ice..it.can.also.be.used.on.open.water.
