Bass Lake in Maplewood State Park

Anyone tried fishing here at all this past season? I will be going there this summer camping a few times, and I would like to try and get some trout.

I fished there a couple years ago and caught some small rainbows on a flu-flu jig. From what I read about it on the DNR lake finder, though, it really is not much of a trout lake.

well thats what it is intended to be for, but i think that it got infested with sunfish and bullhead. I heard that they were going to try and kill off all of the fish, and start over, but i don't know if this is true or not. I have never fished trout before, so I thought it would be kind of fun if I could even catch one.
