Rod Holder Tubes

T-ProGuy

Question

I have an Alumacraft T-Pro 175 with the in-floor rod locker. Some of the tubes will hold rods slightly longer than 7 ft, others are supposed to hold 6 1/2 foot rods, but they don't quite fit. There is plenty of room in the boat to install longer tubes, but I have not been able to find anything to replace them with...any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have tried that already with limited success. The tubes need to be a little flexible and able to be bent a bit (without kinking), as they angle up into the nose of the boat. Someone else suggested tubing used for lawn irrigation systems, but that was too rigid too. The tubes that are in there are basically plastic versions of the cardboad paper towel tubes.
