red line,red hooks and lures

Who is right? cajun red fishing line makers claim the color red disappers in 3 to 6 feet of water if this is true then why the big hoopla about red colored hooks and bleeding bait lures!

WE see red disappear at 3-6 of water. WALLEYE's see red as deep as light waves can penetrate.
