Two Sonar Units

Lundblue

Question

I want to use two sonar units (Lowrance lms 330C @ X125) on my boat. I want to mount the two transducers in the transom. Does anyone know how far apart they must be without effecting each other? Can I use one transducer for both sonars.

I'm deffinatly not an expert on this... But I am guessing, your boat isn't wide enough to get them far enough apart, and No, I dont think you can use both on the same traseducer. Not sure I would want the same information on both units. You already saw it once!.

Why not mount one on a front mout trolling moter?

I am running two LMS 320s off the back of my boat with one receiver unit mounted in the back and one mounted in the front. Once in a while if you are on real hard bottom you will get some interference but for the most part I very seldom get any interference between the units. My transducers are mounted as far apart as the boat will allow.

I do have an X125 mounted to my trolling motor for the times I use that also. It is nice to see in both the front and the back of the boat when fishing steep drop offs or rock ledges.

I run three on my boat, one up front on the trolling motor, one on the console and one in the back for the wife, all three are different makes, I have two transducers on the transom each is the same distance from the motor but not at the ouside edge, I don't have trouble with interference.

I think you will have trouble if the transducers are the same frequency.

Call a marine dealer and see if they will help over the phone.
