Was sharing a shanty with a neighbor, the other day. He was commenting on seeing fish moving up with his bait and I wasn't, so I looked over at his screen and the clarity and seperation appeared dramaticly improved over my FL8 slt!

Any input as to why the difference?

My dad has the slt and I have the se. That was one of the upgrades they made a couple of years ago to make the screen brighter and more visible. I agree there is a pretty big difference in the color detail.

The intensity on the screen on a FL-8 is the same as a FL-18. They changed it 2 or 3 years ago. If you FL-8 is older than 3, You will really see a difference. That is why the magnifier screen covers used to be so popular.
