ATV's on county/tax forfeited land.

I guess I've never heard anything about using ATV's on county or tax forfeited land. Are there any regulations pretaining to this? Thanks.

I couldn't say for sure on that but would think that rules can change from county to county. one cty. may keep control of their land and the next cty. may turn over control to the state or feds. and go along with what ever rules they make.

I don't remember if it's stated elsewhere for other classifications of state land but the regs do state....

• County lands lying within the boundaries of a state forest that are classified as either “limited” or “closed” have the same OHV rules and regulations as state forest lands, unless the county board adopts a resolution modifying those restrictions.

I get that, but what about a parcel of tax forfeit land that is no where near state land? It doesn't affect me as I ride mine on our own property, but I am curious.

Just as the county can change the restrictions for county land completely bordered by state land (unlikely they ever would) the county adopts its restrictions for county lands outside the state land borders, roadside ditches, township roads, etc., etc..
