Big Johnson
Anyone looking in who has gone from Gordy's access in Nestor Falls to Miles Bay by snowmachine? Any tips or possible hazards to look out for on the way? Heading up Sat. for 5 glorious days of crappie, walleye and pike. Hoping to find some new spots, have never been to Miles Bay. Thanks in advance. Big J

Mad Mulcher
There should be a well traveled trail from Gordy's to Hay Island. From Hay to Miles Bay you will see tracks running every which way, just use your map and gps to navigate after you pass Hay. I don't have any personal knowledge of any bad ice areas between Hay and Miles. Shoot me an email and I will give you all of 'Eyes uncle's secret gps coords! eyes'
Ha, Your funny Mad... There is a bunch of bad ice going up to Miles bay so use caution!!! We used to get a guide to go up there but now we have the safe trial on the gps. Some of the islands have current going around them and some don't so you got to be very careful. The guide proved it to us one year... He said watch this, he walked up a ways to this spot and drilled through the ice... 2 inches of ice!!! Pretty crazy stuff!!! He said its like that all over the place so use caution!!!
