bwtrout
I would be installing one on a GM 4-cyl. I/O. Seems like a good idea to me? Especially for 'the pond' during the spring and fall. Anyone done this?
0 PierBridge
So the old one has points..? A distibutor with electronic Ignition would give you a lot more Spark which could help.I would start with calling some Junk yards in the area.

0 Giant_Jackpot
Is this kit designed specifically for the marine application? The reason I ask is that I thought the distributors and other parts were specifically designed for marine use to reduce the chance of sparks igniting any gas fumes under the “hood”. 0 bwtrout
Both conversion kits I've seen (Overton's and JC Whitney's) are for Marine applications. GM 4,6, and 8 cyl. and Ford 8 cyl. engines.
