RODS RODS RODS

Information overload! Rods are like golf clubs, they have to balance, be comfortable to use and each rod has a purpose. Like a tool. You don't drive nails with a saw. It's really that easy. Choose rods that will function the way you need them to. Decide what fish and where you will be fishing for them to match your rod choices. Big fish heavier equipment, heavy cover... ditto. You want to throw finesse baits that are 1/8oz. or less... get a good fast tip highly sensitive rod. I'm a Loomis man but also use St. Croix, All-Star and Lamiglass rods in different situations. I have a great Lamiglass I use for tossing topwater baits for example. You have to be as flexible as the rod. Spinning and baitcasting techniques excel at different times. Master them both!!! My boat is packed with rods. I've lost count of how many. I would suggest that you need a rod for every possible situation but who can afford that. Take your time and accumulate the equipment.
