poutpro
Does anyone have any good ways to prepare walleye besides frying them? I love fried walleye, but would like to change it up. I once tried a walleye that was in a sour cream and lemon sauce, and I'd say it was the best that I have ever had. Anyone with some different ways to prepare walleye I'd love to hear your secrets. Thanks!!

P.DONA
Walleye is great tablefare!!! I try to do as little as possible not to cover up the flavor.. We usually dip it in egg/water wash, and roll it in RITZ cracker crumbs, then bake about 20 minutes at
KSW
I put them in a baking dish and pour melted butter with a little lemon juice on them. Salt & pepper to taste and bake at 350 until fish is done, usually about 30 min.KSW
walleyehawk
I had garlic cheesey walleye at a restaurant once and it was great.Try Infisherman's internet site. They usually have some great walleye recipe's from Twin Cities restaurants. Also, I saw this on a Canadian fishing show for shore lunch. 2 walleye fillets on a large sheet of alum foil. Then top with sliced tomatoes and/or lemons. Season with pepper or other spice and seal. Put on medium low heat on grill. Don't recall time. If you leave skin on, it will probably stick to the alum foil and preserve the fillet better.
