This is a older model and want to know how it works for ice fishing. A friend has one for sale.

I havent seen that one. Is it a LCR? If so the liquid may freeze up at times.

It's a flasher. He made it into a portable and said it works ok in the winter time, never frozed up. It says system 2000, lowrance 2160 & dual scale on the front of it.

Any flasher is better than no flasher. If the price is right go for it..

The Lowrance will work fine for ice fishing. But you will need to fabricate a system to hold the transducer level in the water. A small bubble level mounted to the X-ducer will help out with the adjustments.
