Good rod for the $. Unless your using 1/2 oz. or bigger weight or bottom bouncers I would use the Med/light. 7 ft. is a good length. If ya like that Genz rod try the new Rapala rods. A bit cheaper and a over the counter return policy. Nicely made rods for the buck. I have a 7 ft. med/lt I like and a 6 ft. med jigging rod that is nice. My fav. though is a 8.5' in line board rod. Put a diawa sealine linecounter on it and 10# test and its great for lake superior eyes.
