Fishfinder Swivel Mounts/Quick Attach...

clam up

Question

Does anyone have experience with the Johnny Ray swivel mount for marine electronics? I see that Vexilar has something similiar that they will be marketing "soon". I'm just wondering about quality issues or if anyone has found one they like. I'd like something durable but fast as I move my graph from the rear of the boat up to the bow quite often. I'm not too crazy about those "ball n socket" type mounts I found. Low profile is the key for me.

Yes the Johnie ray are nice.. I have had them on boats without much problem.. however, the ball and socket (RAM) mount is much nicer and has more options for getting it the way you want it and is easier to disconect in my opinion.. I have the RAM mount on my boat now!

I have three Jonny Rays and a ram on my boat. I use the Ram for my GPS and the Rays for the sonars. The Ram is nice for changing angle as well as being able to swivel or come up with some weird angle but you can come up with almost three Jonny Rays for the price of one Ram. In my opinion (and lord know's I have a few of those! grin.gif) The Jonny Rays work just fine, but the Ram does it one notch better.
