ZEBCO OMEGA spincast reel ??

Are there any advantages to using this spincast reel over a spinning reel or baitcaster ? I'm trying to find a reason to get one.

Spincast reels were made to counteract tangles. If you just can't master a spinning reel than get a zebco. They are great for kids!!! You don't have to worry about them casting out a huge rats nest of line that you end up just cutting off.

I would say it's a reel for dummies but I must admit I play with one at the local tackle shop the other day and was quit impressed. It was very smooth, and preform well (practicing with it in the parking lot) and appeared to be well made. The only down fall with it is that the price may be a little high, when comparing it with spinning reels.

But if you wanted to compare it to other spin cast reels it's top notch. The problem here is that all feel that if you get seen with a spin cast reel your not working toward professinal status. Where I believe it about relaxing and having fun, with whatever your equipment is. Just zebco is a new reel called Slad Seeker that appears interesting. Something about when fishing (I assume fishing straight down) you set something on the reel and you will return to that same depth. (Interesting and maybe not a bad ideal) But hay whet do I know maybe Todd Huckabee should visit this board and field this question.
