0 leechlake
If this is the little spincast that holds about 60 yards of 6 pound test then I've had a few when I was a kid/teenager. I wouldn't choose one over a spinning reel, the spools had a tendency to crack when I caught a bigger fish (let's say a 6 pound northern)and the line "pick up" was only okay. I would recommend one if you are really used to spincasts but if you are used to regular spinning reels I'd stick with that. Sorry if I'm talking about a different reel. 0 Deitz Dittrich
I think the only advantage would be ease of cast for children. I myself started on a Zebco 33 as I think many american kids did. However, their drag is not as good, they really dont cast any better, and they can be tough on line. For adult use I would really go with either a spinning reel or baitcast, depedning on the application you are going to use it for.
