Kylersk
Grandpa and I took the 2 kids out saturday.. Both kids came home with a nice batch of sunnies. After the kids fun, I went out by my self searching for some crappies.. I wanted to head out for the evening bite, but noticed my wheeler was low on gas, so I ran into town. On the way back, I realized I forgot one of my rods on the roof of my Car... So I searched all over for it, and luckilly found it along side the rode. Now it's just about dark, and I finally get out to try my luck. Sat around for about an hour, and nothing. Then I caught my first crappie of the night. Now I'm excited.. Over the next hour or so, I only caught 3 more and one UGLY ol' bull head. The bull head made me call it a night. Next day, I'm out alone hoping to maybe catch a bass or something. I didnt catch any bass, but I did manage to pull in a 3.5# northern and a 2# northern on my crappie rigs. Caught the bigger one on a small jig and crappie minnow and caught the other on a 1/16oz glow devil with a grub. First time I've pulled up a northern without a tip-up, and boy was it fun! Even though I didnt manage to catch any bass, or many crappies, the kids, grandpa and I still had a good ol' time.
