Like - Light, cuts fast enough for me, now that I've run it a bit the starting is predictable. I'm quite happy with it.

Only thing I dislike is that the engagement pawl for the recoil starter is poly. Some of the tabs have broken off on mine. However, SM is aware of it and told me I could bring it in to be fixed under warranty. I'll get to it a little later in the season.

I just sold mine. I bought it new about 4 years ago and it always ran and started. It was a good auger. I just upgraded to 2 blade auger. I'm sure you eill get many holes out of it.

Used mine on Sunday. Cut 3 holes pretty quick and never died once. woohoo What kind of blade life (sharpness) am I looking at for this single blade auger cutting through clean ice?
