sidecar pan fishin man
I seen a post on here, I think it was here, about how to move the Pilot light closer to the thermocoupler to stop the wind blowing it out. I accidently deleted it though:( Thanks, Troy Pike
StrosLit31
You need to be carefull here because having the pilot away from the thermocouole is a safety item. So that if your piliot goes out it shuts off the heater. I had a problem with mine going out too. But after looking more into it there was a leak in a connection before the pilot and the pilot kept going out becuase it wasn't getting enought gas. EBass
A little bit of wind blows it out. It's nice to have an Otter with the long skirting so that doesn't happen at all now.
tweeder
If I am inside my fish trap it only goes out if I move it fast. Sometimes it seems if I move it at all it goes out. But if I am not moving it I never have a problem with it randomly going out.
G_man
I had to move the little buddy heater into a back-up heater role because of this reason. It would be nice if I could fit an Otter shanty in the back up my pick-up but it won't fit correctly, so I use a Fish Trap and that is a bad combination. A sunflower heater/cooker and a northstar coleman lantern both piped off of a 5-lb tank is a combination I'm ALOT happier with. It is easier to start and heats up the shack alot quicker. Plus on the really cold days, I can still have a sauna in there if I want in lieu of only 50 degrees.
