freebledsoe
Hi all, with the walleye season almost ending I want to try one last time for them. The problem is I have not caught a single one this winter. Can anyone tell me where in a lake they are most likely to be? Such as on shallower structure, or are they sitting in the deep holes? I have done okay this year catching crappies, usually in deeper holes, but no walleye bites. I usually fish lakes within about an hour from the metro area. Any help is appreciated. CorynTracySellHomes
Hey Free! You face a daunting task! This is a tough time of the year in this area for walleyes..... With that said, I would find a lake in the area you want to fish with the HIGHEST walleye count you can find, Check out the DNR web site for that. Secondly get a good lake map and look for any classic structure, points, humps etc. Start your search off of the deep edge during the day, and be ready with holes drilled around 4pm on on the first break, this is prime time so keep it quiet and get away from people!!!Good luckCory Frantzick
