GoodToGo
Was up around Crow Lake this weekend. The lakes are in great shape, the slush is pretty much gone, the deep snow is either gone (turned to frozen slush), or hard pack so the machines and people stay on top, what a change from last month. Fishing was average, pretty good for my partner, pretty poor for me, so I guess that works out to average. Nothing real big, white tubes worked the best. Had a little better luck in shallower water (35'). Tried my new underwater camera while jigging and watched a trout just slam my jig. Very cool. cashcrews
Good2Go,How would you rate Crow for driving a truck on the ice? Would I be asking for trouble?
GoodToGo
I have seen trucks on Crow, but not very often. Right now the area lakes have about 10-12" good ice with another 10" of frozen slush on top. Some areas there is a few inches of hard pack snow, some areas a foot of snow that's crusted over. There are a few spots of slush left, but not bad. We didn't fish on Crow itself, so I can't guarantee the ice is the same, but it should be. It's probably doable, but I wouldn't do it myself.
