Train,

Come on up to the next meeting of the North Metro Chapter of Muskies Inc. Tons of guys to talk to and the speakers always give good info. You do not have to be a member to show up. The next meeting is on the 15th at 7:30. We meet at the Knights of Columbus in Fridley. Check northmetromuskies.com and click on Meetings and Membership for a map.

Train,

Early in the muskie season I throw 3/4oz spinnerbaits with a glow tail. I also twitch a 6" crankbaits(like Jakes,Slammers,or Cranes). It is never to early to throw topwaters!!!!! Got one muskie last year in 51 degree water. Look for new growing weeds(like Cabbage& Reeds) in the spring and work them slow. Also go deep and look for baitfish. Early season muskies suspend high in the water at this time of the year. Fish deep water with shallow water baits(Topwaters&Bucktails). you will be surprised!!!

Good Luck,

Brian(muskieschaef)
