The_Duckslayer
Quote:Yeah, well thats unfortunate. So you have never shot a clay target huh?? Or are those good table fare? Yeah, I have shot quite a few actually. I guess there are some inatimate objects that I have shot at, when plinking with the .22 and the pellet gun there are always cans and targets and such to shoot at. Sighting in the slug barrel scope also involves shooting at a target. I guess the point was I have never shot at anything simply beacuse I was frustrated and needed to vent that frustration. IF I ever got to that point, and to date I have not, I would unload the gun and go home. Take care and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo
eyepatrol
I don't know about others, but around here (Sibley Co. MN) opening weekend has been reduced to a talk session with cold barrels. Been that way for nearly 10 years now. Before that, we'd get our limit of ducks in an hour. Now, we hunt both days and we're lucky to get a limit...heck...we're lucky to get 4 ducks!Goose hunting is pretty good around here except for all the competition. Best day for ducks was around 3rd or 4th weekend when the wind blew from the northwest about 40mph. Mallards came in nice that day. Missed the bluebill flight. It came at dusk one evening (1000 plus bills on the lake). We went out the next morning and nothing! They were all gone.Late season....worst I've had in years. Like others say...any day out hunting is a good day, but not getting anything sure does make it feel colder!
