Need help fast with a wild turkey.

I picked up a dead turkey on the side of the road. D.N.R said I can keep it. how do I freeze it to have it mounted?

tuck the head under wing, get a large pantyhose and slide the head in first so the feathers are laying down and uniform as possible then wrap in cellophane put in the freezer.

Thanks minnow. I just slid him into a plastic bag and made sure the wings and feathers were flat. Then taped it up good. He JUST fits into my chest freezer.

If you're looking to save a little money, you could just have the fan, the beard and the feet mounted. I've got one done like that and it looks really nice, there's even a spot where i put a picture of the bird. I'll try and get a pic up for ya if you're interested. How big was the bird anyway?

I'd say 20-25 pounds. I'm going to weigh it tonight. The beard is about 8 inches long if that helps you picture the size of the bird. I'd like to have the whole thing done in full strut.
