fishguy1
we have had alot of snow here in manitoba this winter, problems getting to our spots with 4x4's and the weight of snow on the ice making slush. this summer our water was nice and high comming off a couple low years. some lakes are up 6-8', with the amount of snow we had this year we will have some good levels of water. i imagine ontario has good levels also as we do share some water. lake of the woods and the winnipeg river system. if you have any specific questions on manitoba i would be glad to help! Hemlock
Retro, I tried to get you an exact figure. I called some provincial agency, and haven't heard back from them. We've lost a lot of snow this month with the mild temps in early Feb. I would say we maxed out around the 2.5 foot mark...maybe 3 feet. It's compacted now though...18"? Are you more interested in river levels/current for spring? I know they've opened the gates here in Kenora and LOW is flowing heavier than usual to accomodate a large spring runoff. Ret-ro
Thanks Hemlock,I was just trying to gauge what the water levels might be like on the english river come early june. Have a favorite lake off of it. Takes high water to get into it.
