Wall Hanger- I guide a handicapped person every year on a hunt in north dakota with a group of 20 hunters and most all tell me the crossbow they think is the best is called Ten-Point.I cant tell you why because i dont recall they always say that bow is the cats meow, also not the cheapest.

Tenpoint is a good brand...top shelf, top $. Horton and Barnett also are good brands. PSE also makes a crossbow.

Things to consider...sight: pins or scope? look for a quick click elevation adjustment on the rear sight. Poundage....most range from 150lbs to 185lbs....not the easiest to draw. consider an accu-draw, crank draw...but be prepared to draw by hand (and foot), get something you'll be comfortable handling.

Shooting them is fun. The kick a bit, like a shotgun. You'll see speed ratings over 300fps on most. Effective range is similar to a bow. Takes some practice.

Set yourself a budget and look around. Consider packages that include a quiver and a few bolts. Just like buying a bow, you can spend upwards of a thousand dollars, or less than 300...and shoot just fine with either.

good luck.
