Driving on Devils Lake

Just wondering if you can drive off the main trails on the lake? I'll be coming up this Friday would like any hints on where to catch walleyes and perch, going out of Woodland or 6 mile bay or any where. Coming up for the tourney sure gald its supposed to be warm. (keeping fingers crossed) Thanks

You should be fine for driving. We have gotten quite a bit of snow around where I am but on the lakes there is very little. With every snow storm then next day we get strong winds and it is pretty much blowing all the snow off the lake.
