I am not sure if it will peak at late ice or not? This has been my first season fishing that spot so it is new ground to me. It very well may pick up a bit?

It may be a fun spot to try for pre-spawn crappie in tiny jigs and floats after ice out.

I have been on the Red most of the time now I have nothing new to report on the Cass Res. How have you been doing there?

Thanks for the kind word on the seminar, good to see ya there. I hope you burned up that gift certificate that night before it expired. Anyone willing to sit through my yada-yada deserves at least that.

I've only been out there a few times this winter and got skunked. Never saw anything down the hole either. Probably the time of day I was there (middle afternoon). I can say this about the Resv. though. Once ice out crappies are up in the warmer waters getting ready to spawn. They bite very well. I remember going there last spring getting my limit of 30 in about 30 - 45 minutes. With the ultra lite its a blast. Maybe see you there this spring!

After the seminar I picked up another ice rod with the gift cert. I am planning on trying it out at Lake of the Woods this coming weekend.
