gspman
I just received an email from Marcum regarding getting an adapter for Minnkota Universal sonar. Here's the text..."Our engineers have supplied Minkota with every thing they need to make an adapter. Unfortunately, I have recently been told that Minnkota is not going to release any type of adapter for our sonar units. Feel free to contact Minnkota and voice you displeasure on this as it was their decision not to have one available.MarCum Support "If you have a Marcum and want to use it with your Minnkota Univ Sonar it will be in your best interest for you to contact Minnkota and voice your displeasure. Hopefully we can persuade them to change their minds.gspman
RobertELee
I was at Boat Show tonight and was talking to the guys at Lowrance and they were saying that there are a couple of companies in the metro that might be able to make an adapter for this. i don't remember the names of the companies so you might want to contact them. Dan Wood
gpsman, that is interesting.. I hadn't looked into it, just figured or hoped that it was in the works...Robert Lee,I would be VERY interested in knowing who can make one for an LX-3. I hate external cables on the trolling motor and would love to be able to use the universal transducer...
gspman
I'd be real interested too. Beats having to buy new depth finder. Not that having a new finder is bad mind you 8^).
RobertELee
Im sorry that I don't remember the names of the companies, I kind of spaced it out because I didn't need it done. I will try and rememeber. In the meantime, I know they were custom boat riggers so if you either get into the yellowpages and call around you could probably locate somebody who could do it. Also you could try and locate one of the people in the Lowrance booth at the next sportsmans show and they should give you the names. Sorry I couldn't be of more help but there was just so much stuff at the boat show that I just can't remember it all.
