kevfish
Will 2 batteries hooked in parallel last longer than the 2 batteries individually? If so how do you hook the 2 batteries together? pos to pos and neg to neg??????
0 f1sh1nfool
that is the proper way to hook them up, but I am not sure that they will last longer than individually. it just saves on time unhooking one and hooking up another. just make sure that one battery isn't way older, or weaker than another. 0 Moose-Hunter
Yes. In esscence you're creating a larger capacity (same voltage) battery by connecting them together. But be aware, if you add a new batt with an old batt, they will cross charge or discharge in order to try stabilize themselves as a single unit. This will reduce the individual capacity of the new battery as it settles in.If you were to do this without and extra parts, your best results will be with two brand new batterys. This is a very basic overview. Someone will jump in here shortly to fill in the details...
