I'm looking into getting a doghouse style hunting blind this spring for turkey hunting. I've been looking at the Ameristep two sidded blind that has one patteren on one side and another pattern on the other. I have had no experiance with these blinds but would really like to get something to help with the concellmant. Any opinions on blinds would be appreciated

Thanks

If you use the doghouse for deer hunting. be sure to put blaze orange over the top of it. Because I was deer hunting I saw a 6 point buck and it was running and I shot 2 times at it(dumb idea) but did not hit it. But there was a hunter in a doghouse and I did not see him and I could of shot him very easy. SO BE SURE TO PUT SOME KIND OF BLAZE ORANGE OVER THE TOP SO YOU CAN SEE IT FROM ALL SIDES. (I am not trying to chew you out but for you own well being) good luck hunting. JUSTIN

THUNDERCHICKEN: I personally have used three different type of blinds for deer and turkey hunting.the ones with the coils in it for setting up,you dont want as they lose thier tension and are just about worthless. My personal experience tells me to always use a double bull blind as they are very well built and one time I had a service issue with one of the support rods, called double bull and not only sent me a replacement , but sent me three.IMO if you buy the ones that set up with the poles crossed on each wall you will have pretty good luck.Just stay away from the coil type,as all I have seen with them are problems.
