sdghsdgj
How do you keep the holes in your permanant open. We use candles, does anything work better?
Dan Thiem
Sometimes, when it's really cold I will pour hot water from the stove down the hole. Works good.
Willy
Bank the inside of your holes with snow. Take some snow from outside, dump it in your hole and use it to bank you hole. Snow works better than ice chips because it insulates better and no air can get through it. If it's really bad, I do the same as Dan and pour some water into the hole from the heater. bobberal
Just go and get yourself a Emperor Fish House. We were on Red this weekend and our holes never froze. The computer fans helped too Al

DCON
i have a 12 volt ceiling fan 42" that circulates the air, last weekend it was -20 on MilleLacs and i never had a hole freeze up at all, actually the holes opened up a bit on top. My house is 10 x 20 and well insulated, just bank it up good and you should be good to go. I tried the bucket thing and didnt work too good. Removed the buckets and let the warm air circulate under the house, the holes stay open and the floor stays warmer also.REMEMBER TO: CROSS THEIR EYES
