municipal archery range?

our local sportsmen's club would like to donate the equipment for a new archery range for the city, has anyone any experience with this regarding insurance, how to get it throught he city politics etc. Any ideas on the course and how to build the targets (to discourage vandals etc)? Thanks!

The DNR has some grant money available for range development. Check out the information on their HSOforum. You may be able to obtain a matching grant to put together a really nice facility.

Check with the Minnesota State Archery Assoc. for info on insurance and target setups. the NFAA (national field archery assoc.) is also a good spot to look up more info.
