Recycling propane cylinders?

Does anyone know of a way to recycle propane cylinders? Coleman doesn't have anything on the label. Will scrapyards that take old appliances take them? Are the manufacturers able to reuse them? I've got a pile of the things and I would rather not toss them in the trash if they can be recycled.

I take mine to the household hazardous waste site in Blaine. I'm guessing there should be something like that in your area.

Most local waste transfer stations will take them. That is where I get rid of mine.
